Being an entrepreneur is hard. Being a parent and an entrepreneur is harder.

As a parentpreneur, you’re balancing a business and a life. You’re the first one in the house to rise; and after dinner and kissing the kids goodnight, you tiptoe into your office to resume your workday. Even though you’re doing everything you can to give all your babies the right amount of attention, there’s no getting around feeling like you need to do MORE. Whether it’s spending more time with your family, investing more in your business, getting more work done, or finding a way to balance your work and personal life, running a successful business and raising a family can feel daunting.

To help solve these issues, CO+HOOTS is partnering with Kayson to launch MORE, an initiative designed specifically to give parentpreneurs MORE of what they need to be successful—more time, more support, and more resources.

“I created MORE to give parentpreneurs an opportunity to stay in the race,” said Amber Anderson, founder of Kayson, a strategy company that specializes in helping businesses connect the dots so they can stay in business longer. “Being a parent and an entrepreneur are two of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had, and like many women entrepreneurs, I started my business because I needed the flexibility to be home with my son, which, after getting started, appeared to be a lot harder than I expected. I instantly struggled to find a balance between both of my worlds.

“I knew right away I needed help but couldn’t find any programs that fit. Everything was either one-track minded (focused on entrepreneurship or being a parent), too time-consuming, too expensive, not enough action, or not culturally the right fit. What I needed was more than what was out there and after talking to other parentpreneurs, they realized they needed more.”

What is MORE?

MORE is an initiative designed specifically to help parentpreneurs integrate their work and family life. We offer family-friendly retreats, programs, mentorship opportunities, childcare services and a central place for the parentpreneur community.

When will the MORE programming begin?

We’ll be kicking things off this summer at MORE: The Retreat, a business retreat that gives attendees an opportunity to relax and reenergize their business and personal life alongside their family.

The retreat is June 24th through 26th, 2016, at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona. It includes business, personal, and family-focused sessions.
