Meet Ninja Intern Justine Sponder

Justine Sponder is design savvy, nonprofit-friendly and passionate about people — a killer trio of characteristics that brings so much to enliven the CO+HOOTS team. She’s only been in our entrepreneurial city for less than two weeks, but we’re already seeing her skills soar as she creates everything from social media graphics to vinyl designs for our space. Get to know Justine as she gets to know Phoenix!

Hometown: Sergeant Bluff, IA

Why did you want to work at CO+HOOTS? After speaking with Jenny, I knew CO+HOOTS would be an amazing place for me because I have a passion for working with people on a daily basis. I knew that CO+HOOTS would give me the opportunity to get to know and help others!

What are your hopes and dreams at CO+HOOTS? I hope that I can learn more, about design and about everything else that happens here! I have a genuine interest in learning more about Phoenix culture, understanding how small businesses work, and the amazing and cool things the members do!

Members in CO+HOOTS may be able to help you as well… What are your own personal hopes and dreams? My short term dream is to find a job in Phoenix following my internship. I am excited to learn more about Phoenix opportunities and businesses! My long term dream is to actively give back to non-profits and become involved in the Phoenix community!

If you had 100 billion dollars, you would… First, I would make sure I had enough to purchase flights to see my family more often, then I would create scholarship endowments to help young women attend college.

What should the CO+HOOTS community know about you? I love to learn and help!

What is one thing people don’t know about you? I was actually born in the valley so I think it’s pretty great that I am back!

Why are you so awesome? Where do I start? Nah, I’m just kidding. I would say that my ability to laugh (especially at myself) makes me pretty cool (also a hoot to listen to).
