Phoenix, Ariz: Jan. 18, 2026 — CO+HOOTS Coworking, founded in 2010 as Arizona’s pioneer coworking company, enters an era of new local ownership to strengthen its legacy as one the most recognizable and impact-driven names in the industry.
Founder and previous owner Jenny Poon along with founding partner Odeen Domingo, who has stepped down from his CEO role, have moved into board positions and will continue to be involved. As of January 1, 2026, CO+HOOTS, which has locations in central Phoenix and downtown Mesa, carries forward its purpose-driven mission through Phoenix local Jaime Munoz. Munoz elevates his position from Managing Director to owner and CEO. The decision to sell to a key employee reinforces CO+HOOTS’ commitment in investing in people and elevating leadership from within the community.
CO+HOOTS provides startups, small businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs and professionals of all kinds with collaboration-focused office locations to grow and connect. Through 16 years of intentional progress, CO+HOOTS grew from an independent, self-funded project into a major local economic force, supporting the growth of more than 10,000 aspiring and established entrepreneurs and professionals while fostering a dynamic environment that created more than 5,000 jobs and new businesses. CO+HOOTS will celebrate that journey and its promising future ahead with a celebratory evening event on Friday, January 9 at its central Phoenix location (221 E. Indianola Avenue).
“CO+HOOTS has always belonged to the community,” Poon said. “After almost two decades, it’s the right time to pass the torch, celebrate what we built together, and open the door to another chapter of meaning, purpose and possibility. But more than anything, we are grateful — for the people, the breakthroughs, the messy middle and the chance to build something that mattered. This transition isn’t a final, forever goodbye — it’s a celebration of what’s possible when people build something bigger than themselves.”
The strategic sale to Munoz ensures that the values, vision and energy that have fueled CO+HOOTS’ and its community’s success will remain central as the company charts its next phase.
“Jaime genuinely cares as deeply as we do — about what we do, how we do it, what CO+HOOTS stands for and what this community means,” Domingo said. “He’s already been central to our success these last few years, and our confidence in him to take CO+HOOTS to new heights is absolute.”
CO+HOOTS has always been more than a space, it is a supercharger for innovation that will continue to provide opportunities for growth and connection. Munoz brings both deep experience and a forward-looking vision to ensure that mission continues to thrive in a collaborative, inclusive business ecosystem.
“People can expect the same culture and commitment to who CO+HOOTS serves,” Munoz said. “Right now, professionals don’t need another place to feel isolated, they need genuine community, and that’s what we continue to protect. CO+HOOTS remains a space where anyone can walk in, feel welcomed and be safe enough to launch, scale or even fail. Above all, this is a place where people feel seen, heard and connected — whether they’re scaling a business, advancing a mission, or working from anywhere.”
