MIDWEEK MINDTWEAK: Screw perfection! Use improv skills to connect with clients
January 17, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pmFree
CO+HOOTS Foundation presents Screw perfection! Use improv skills to connect with clients!
Ever completely miss what your client was saying because you were too busy thinking about what you would say next? Ever stick so closely to your pitch script that you appeared timid or inauthentic to your audience? Ever blurted out a non sequitur to a client that made perfect sense when you planned it?
If you said “no” to all of these, you’re lying. But it’s not your fault. We’re conditioned to believe that “practice makes perfect”. What that idiom fails to consider is the real world doesn’t give a crap about your perfect plan. How you respond in the moment is all that counts.
Come learn how you can leverage improv skills to:
– Be fully present in the moment
– Truly hear what your clients say and mean
– Focus on serving your clients’ real needs
This workshop will be hands-on, butts-out-of-seats, and most likely hysterical and a teensy bit embarrassing. So wear clothes you can move in and leave your ego at the door.
